Welcome to the official site of Stroke/Aphasia Advocate Kristen Toepfer. In 2018, just two days after her first New York Fashion Week for Supermodels Unlimited Magazine, Kristen suffered a stroke.  This event was life threatening and has changed her life forever.  Instead of using this as a handicap, Kristen has made this her life mission to become a stroke and aphasia advocate.  Kristen is using this site and her platform to help others not go through what she has been through.  Kristen wants to bring awareness to both stroke victims, as well as people with aphasia.  Kristen went her first two years, without being able to talk from her stroke.  As she explains in her first official podcast, all she did was sit in her backyard and look at the birds.   She has overcome so many obstacles and is a huge inspiration to so many.  Her story is riveting and through this website, she will chronicle her journey.  She will also share with you many of her videos of the struggles she has been through.  visit her media gallery to see her videos, her before stroke modeling photos and her photos during her recovery.  She also has a resources page that will be a good place to bookmark to find help and great information to have.  We hope this site inspires you as it has so many.   You can also follow Kristen through all her social media links provided throughout this site.  If you know of someone who has suffered from a stroke, or has aphasia, this site will be very helpful to you.  You are not alone, Kristen is a living testimony that you can overcome obstacles and maintain happiness.
